My husband doesn’t have paid “sick” time and only accrues paid time off by hours worked. That’s tough with a #rarekid. So some nights he works late to make up ( literally) for lost time . Tonight was such a night and my bestie Jen came to give me much needed adult company and help to make a school year Tuesday night better. We took a walk ( Alexia drove ❤️) to our subdivision commons area. The commons is nice- open area with a pond at the center – there’s even a swing set for a closer than the park trip.

We parked here ( on the sidewalk ) and walked to the swing set ( far back of photo) .. I’m used to carrying her distances but was nervous to need to leave the wheelchair so far away .
As we approached, she was eager to swing and we tried ALL the swings for “best fit” – as in is she safe and stable swinging alone in the seat. No dice. NOT anyone’s fault really that there isn’t an accessible swing there – I’m figuring that the subdivision association doesn’t know it’s needed. They’re expensive too – check out this “budget” option . https://noahsplay.com/inclusive-playground-swings/ and our dues are 25$ a year per house so they’re not “flush” with cash…I get it.
