Alexia’s Journey

I think as of today I take walking for granted… To watch Alexia try out this adaptive device to help her walk (at least in a small space with support… ) Changed my perspective entirely. We went to the U today to be fitted for a gait trainer – that is a device that helps those who cannot walk move through a space like elementary school gym or our house as example. Our insurance and that would be Michigan children’s special healthcare… ( thank GOD for this service- seriously ..) do you want or need to know more about Michigan children’s special healthcare… Please follow the link!

MCSHC will cover the gait trainer and we’re SO grateful!! This other amazing device unfortunately they will not…We’ll figure it out .. I’m sure of it ❤️ The thing that strikes me here though, is that she was having a better time and more fun today than she reported having at school… it’s odd that a child would look more forward to a doctors visit than school…or maybe it isn’t.. I’m going to put some more thought into that…
