Alexia’s Journey

Today we’re heading out to Duke University medical center for our long awaited “turn” at a chance for more information.

We applied over a year ago to have Alexia’s case studied by the Undiagnosed Disease Network ( UDN) . The UDN is an “arm” of the National Institute of Health ( NIH) . UDN studies cases that are so far “unsolvable” as far as diagnosis or treatment goes. We’re hoping for whatever they can give us- more information or help for her condition – we’ll take what we can get and ( hopefully) contribute to the body of research around rare or undiagnosed diseases. Fingers crossed, prayers up🙏🏼.
